Pediatric Radiology Translational Data Science Team

Our mission

Pediatric Radiology at Stanford Children’s Health is committed to providing outstanding patient care.  The mission of our translational data science team is to innovate, translate, and disseminate digital methods to improve quality and accessibility of obstetrical and pediatric medical imaging.  We develop software and algorithmic solutions to enable medical professionals to make optimal decisions. This includes supporting automated analysis of diverse data sources like medical images, monitoring clinical workflows, and improving clinical communication processes.

Who we are

Our growing team consists of four data scientists/engineers with deep expertise in the fields of computer science and data engineering: Mo Izady, Faraz Rabbani, Pooja Pathak and Catherine Huang. Their capabilities allow us to develop and deploy advanced data analysis and AI tools tailored for clinical applications. Collaborating closely with radiologists, administrative leaders, and IT experts within our organization, their work is integrated into the unique clinical and academic environment of Stanford Children's Health and Stanford University. This integration not only grants our patients access to cutting-edge technology but also fosters valuable clinical and academic collaborations.\
