Interventional Radiologists

David Hovsepian, MD

Dr. David Hovsepian is a board-certified radiologist with expertise in Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology. Dr. Hovsepian completed his fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University in 1993 and his residency at New York Presbyterian Columbia Campus in 1991. His medical career began with an internship at Overlook Medical Center in 1987, after earning his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1986.  He has a strong interest in women's health and vascular malformations.

Andrew Liu, MD

Dr. Andrew Liu is a board-certified radiologist with a focus on Diagnostic Radiology. Certified by the American Board of Radiology in 2022, Dr. Liu completed both a Pediatric Radiology diagnostic and an interventional fellowships at Boston Children's Hospital, finishing in 2023. He completed his residency at New York Presbyterian Columbia Campus in 2021 and earned his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2016.  Dr. Liu serves as Director of Vascular Access and has interests in AI.

Avnesh Thakor, MD, PhD

Dr. Thakor is a board-certified adult and pediatric Interventional Radiologist. He earned his PhD in Fetal Cardiovascular Physiology and MB BChir in Medicine from the University of Cambridge, alongside a BA and MA in Physiology.  He completed fellowships in Adult Interventional Radiology at the University of Cambridge and the University of British Columbia, as well as in Pediatric Interventional Radiology at the University of Toronto. His clinical focus has a special emphasis on medical devices. He leads the Interventional Radiology Innovation at Stanford (IRIS) lab, pioneering "Precision Delivery" strategies for targeted therapies using cutting-edge image-guided techniques.
